We started on 16th September 2020 with bottled honey from the Sundarbans in a full lockdown and today in just a few months we have about 25 types of high quality non-toxic local food in our store.
Our packaging is of international standard, our delivery – professional, we deliver perishable food items like yoghurt on same day.
Within Kolkata, where we are located, we do not add any delivery charge, we offer cash on delivery facility.

History of Dhenki : How a revolutionary Idea was born?
When the Pandemic began & the lock down started we the marginalised people who used to work in small factories and various houses as maid servants & were engaged in petty jobs, suddenly found ourselves jobless. With no savings in our bank and not covered by any social security schemes were left with nowhere to go.When government is not proactive enough and the banks are not supportive then what we the marginalised people will do? Will we depend upon fate? Or we will unite and fight back?
Based upon the concept of ‘ Mutual Aid’ the Idea of Dhenki was born during this global crisis.

Dhenki is a Crowd Funded social welfare enterprise. Our objective is to provide premium quality nutritious food grown organically, presented aesthetically within a reasonable price. Our business model has been formulated to generate employment for maximum number of rural Women & provide them with the pride of being empowered.
